Help phone com port

I cant figure out how to find what com port my motorola triumph is on when I plug it into my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if Im going about this the wrong way. Im new to forums so still getting used to how they work.

Why do you want to know what port it's on? But to find out in windows go to control panel and go to device manager and expand ports and it should say something like android device on one of the ports. On any other OS I don't know how.

I have W7 on my computer and it doesnt give me any port option in device manager

you need to turn on the usb share on your phone.. then it will show up as a USB drive. Is that what you want to do?

Do you mean "usb storage" or "usb debugging" because I tried both and if I have debugging on, it shows in device manager as "adb interface" but that doesnt say anything about a com port and if I have debugging off, nothing shows at all in device manager

Have to be specific on what your trying to pull off brother..

Are you trying to find what drive letter your USB storage is using?
OR
Are you trying to find the com port to change your PRL?

Either way we need to know what you're trying to pull off in order to help further.

I'm having the same problem getting my prevail to show up under device manager. when I plug it in it shows Samsung ADB interface but down under com ports it doesn't show anything. I need to know which com port number so I can select it in CDMA and get a connection with phone.
