Help Phone constantly re-setting call volume

Here is one that seems different. My rezound keeps re-setting the call ringer volume to low all by itself. It is getting annoying because I miss calls and my wife is experiencing the same thing on her rezound. Anybody have some clue as to why? I have run out of ideas.
