Help Phone Contacts go missing ..

[paypalcomp]

Hi,
Contacts from my phone randomly go missing.. The same thing happens to my contacts in my gmail account too.. !! Anybody as any idea why ? Anybody else faced the same ?

I went to the Backup assistant on Verizon's website and the pattern I see is all my friends that use Verizon as a carrier are missing on my contacts on my phone but are present in the backup.

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.
