Phone Contacts wiped out!

My "phone contacts" have simply been wiped out all of a sudden. My Google, SIM and Facebook contacts are there but all 97 of my phone contacts are simply gone! It now shows phone (0). I thought I could sync back from Google but it appears all along they weren't even being synced even though my Google contacts sync was turned on, so I'm still left with nothing.

This is one of the most frustrating and ridiculous problems I've ever encountered on any phone. I rely almost entirely on my phone contacts, and I sure as hell do not want to start copying from my SIM all over again because I'd have to filter out so many unused contacts.

If they are on your SIM then they are definitely less than 250 contacts and wont be so bad editing them, think on the bright side, you still have them somewhere and a simple import will solve the problem .

Strange. It's worth backing up to vcf files regularly, as importing and exporting with them work really well on the Desire.
