Using Samsung Galaxy S2 (about 3 years old) Phone with Android 4.3 (IIRC)
So here is the scenario

Last evening, I attempted to view over 3000 image album through imgur (the most popular and reliable image sharing service). After a while of loading, the browser crashed and shortly after, the entire phone shut down and attempted to restart but got stuck to Samsung logo screen. I figured the phone is trying to reboot itself so I put it into battery charge and left it that way over night.

The next morning I woke up, it was still stuck to Samsung logo and I removed the battery to force a reboot and attempted to open the phone again. This time, it took me to some strange screen with and asked for some password which was not my PIN code. I tried a few other passwords I've been using but they didn't work either so I restarted the phone by holding the power button and that's where things got worse.

The phone died. It reacts to absolutely nothing, no leds are lit, I cannot see battery charge, doesn't react to power button, battery insertion and doesn't open up recovery mode. I have been looking for solutions the internet but none of them have worked so far.

I have no idea what my battery charge level is and even recharging is somewhat unreliable since the charger contactor is worn out over time

The only thing I haven't tried yet is discharging my phone battery through an external source such as a LED light but I may have missed some solutions which is my why I am asking your help in this manner. All help you can provide is very much appreciated and if you need some extra information, feel free to reply

By the sounds of it, it died permanently, totally dead, and very probably nothing to do with browsing Imgur or whatever. Frankly a Samsung Galaxy S2 is rather vintage in smart-phone terms, and it happened to choose now to finally give-up working, and you might be looking to replacing it.

Yeah, +1 on trying a new/different battery with a fresh charge on it...

I'm guessing that leaving it charging overnight didn't actually help since the battery might have already given up the ghost and is no longer taking/holding a charge.
