Help Phone dead after charging

Put my phone on the charger and then fell asleep for about 90 minutes. Once I woke up I went to get the phone and the green light was not on indicating a full charge and the phone would not wake up.

I can pull the battery and reinstall it but it still doesn't wake up until pushing the top button maybe 6 or 7 times or so and then it reboots.

But then it will still completely lock up and die again in a few minutes.

Is there such a thing as overcharging these phones that causes them to die?

Never heard of that issue, haven't seen it at all here. When I first got my new replacement, it did that to me the first day, but only had to hit the power button to unlock the phone about 5 or 6 times before the screen turned on but it never died on me like you are explaining, I would hit up Verizon on that one and get a replacement.

I did and they sent me another replacement that arrived today. This is my second replacement in just over a month.
