Phone dies,freezes,restarts itself.please help

My girlfriend has the Samsung Transform Ultra for about eight months.It's been working fine until about two months ago.It freezes,restarts,and the battery just doesn't last long.Phone is completely stock.I tried calling Samsung and they pretty much want her to send in the phone for a factory reset.Any suggestions would help.Thanks

Try a custom rom. Its not the best solution but try it and see how the phone works. Sorry i cant be of good help. Shevrom is a good rom to use
