I've had my Evo 4G for about a year now and it's worked fine. I've noticed a slight drop in battery life, but nothing major.
Now, suddenly, the phone suddenly and without warning shut down, even with a ~90% battery. When I boot it back up, the battery life indicator is the red spider lines and it tells me to charge because there's <5% battery. It'll die again within a few minutes.
The only difference in use is that I've been texting more, but this problem started about a month after I started texting more. Other than that, normal usage.
I went through and uninstalled all the apps I wasn't using. I use AppKiller, too.
Any advice? I don't want to go out and buy another battery if this is some kind of OS/software/app problem.
Thanks.
