Help Phone Freezing up

Madroxide

I'm running stock JB rooted. I haven't changed much on my phone in months. But in the past 2 weeks my phone has frozen up and rebooted it self multiple times. Last night after sitting for 20 mins I had to take the battery out to get it back up. I have plenty of storage space and RAM and my battery isn't over heating. Anyone else have any ideas of what could be causing it? I don't want to reset my phone but its getting annoying and may have to.

Have any apps updated on you? I have had something like that happen before, and is why I don't let things auto update.

Also instead pf pulling the battery, try holding the power button down, after so many seconds it does a hard reboot.

yes, I've had many apps update...not sure what all ones...I know Facebook has been pushing out updates like they are going out of style. The freeze this morning I tried holding the power button down, it did nothing. Thats the only reason I went through the trouble of dismantling my case. Its such a pain in the ass. I may uninstall a few apps and just see how it acts for a few days. May take a bit but might be better than factory reset.

Yeah that could be the culprit. I never use the Facebook app as I can just use the browser for it if i wanted to go to Facebook. I suggest turning off auto updates and manuallky do them one at a time. Do you have a nandroid backup from before your problems?

unfortunately I don't, I back it up once a week, but don't keep more than 2 back ups. They just take up too much space...And my home PC is full enough...lol
