Help Phone gets stuck in dialing mode sometimes

MetroPOS

Sometimes when I'm done talking to someone and end the call, the phone will get stuck in Dialing mode as if I'm still on the phone with them. It doesn't let me push the end call button or anything, and the green phone call icon stays up on the status bar. Plus the phone keeps trying to shut the screen off right away as if I'm still on the call so I have to keep pressing the lock button to bring it back up. It's just completely locked up on the dialing screen, and if I get another incoming call while it's locked up like this, my phone won't ring at all. Only way I know of to fix this is to reboot the phone. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes. I was having that problem a lot on my other phone. It was quite aggravating and one of the faults I quoted when returning it.
I have not had the issue with the new phone.

I had this happen to me once, I figured it was due to me setting the CPU to low while screen is off and when I helt it to my ear the screen would shut off durring the call.

I set the cpu speed while screen off a little higher and it never happened again so I didnt think anything of it.

Well I haven't had that happen to me yet, but you can try this quick fix:
When it happen again, don't go for the end button. Instead, keeping your fingers as near the bottom as possible, tap on the left most screen icon. That should be the speaker button. Having speaker on will disable the proximity sensor and you can then access all the other buttons at your leisure and check if the cpu is just set too low or if it is due to some other weird android/samsung behavior (bug).
