Root Phone Gets Stuck on Splash Screen

Hi

After having rooted and then restored my new phone to the ROM backed up from my old phone, sometimes the phone will get stuck on the splash screen and I have to remove the battery.

I guess I could simply restore again, but was hoping somebody would have some other ideas to resolve this issue!

The first ever backup with clockworkmod does this after taking a backup but not seen it after a restore. Is it the same backup you're restoring every time?

I haven't been restoring this often, it's simply that I've restored to a previous backup and it happens occassionally, without my having done and backups or restores in the meantime.
