Phone gets very warm

My phone will sometimes get very warm to the touch. Sometimes so warm that's it's uncomfortable to hold.

Anyone experience this?

Try watching a movie or playing a game while charging your phone. It gets pretty warm to the touch.

If I'm steaming a movie or updating a lot of apps from the market, my battery has reached 112 degrees F before. Normally, though, it's around 90 degrees under normal use.

112 F? Yikes!

Mine gets pretty warm when charging, and yeah it gets uncomfortable to hold (even with a case on). Haven't noticed any heat issues otherwise though.

Mine did within the first 2 weeks I had it, not even loading any apps or anything. Just reading email or for a few calls. Took it to Verizon and when I told the rep it got hot, (even smelled like burning electronics) he told me it was a defective phone and immediately swapped it for a new one. The second one does get warm at times but not hot like the first one did. Plus the second one works perfectly now.

What are you doing with your phone when it gets really hot? How hot is hot? I have gotten mine to 42°C if I really multitask on it.

Are you barely using it like prrchi when it got hot like his or her defective phone?

Check your battery connections I had a bad connection that caused my phone to over heart and they sent me a new one

I have noticed that either using GPS navigation, or something with heavy data usage via 3G cause the phone to heat up significantly.

I haven't checked the temp, though.

Your phone will get really hot if you're using it as a GPS, charging it while it's in direct sunlight with brightness max, and streaming music or talking on the phone using BT.
