Help Phone Goes into a Forced Closed Loop

vwli

Newbie
Every once in a month since I updated to 2.2, the phone goes into a forced closed loop:

Calendar Storage (process com.android.providers.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

It will go into a loop and I cannot get out. The only way is to do a hard reset and delete all user data. I have this happened 3 times already after the update. This is driving me up the wall.

Anyone else having the same problem? Any solution?

Can't say I've had the same problem, but tell me this - you say you delete all user data. How do you restore it? Sounds like you're restoring the problem each time.

I reload my contacts, phone and calendar by sync with outlook through Kies.

The rest of application I lost it all and have to re-install them every time.

Hmmm, well, I use none of that, my contacts, phone and calendar all synch through the cloud with Google - but I'm still fairly certain it's synching the problem right back onto your phone. Do you have to use outlook and Kies? Any other way to restore just the data, nothing else?

If these are all that you are reloading, try loading one at a time. If you just load your contacts and the phone works, then you know that the contacts is a good file. Give it a while then reload phone and see what happens. If they both work and there are no problems, reload the calendar and see what happens.
Either way, whichever messes up your phone is the corrupt file.

I think the files got corrupted somehow after I re-loaded it onto the phone. Last ime it worked for about a month and then crapped out giving me that error message.
