Help phone hanging all the time :(

hi all,

has got really bad recently - happens in different situations - especially when returning to home launcher - just now the whole thing locked up - i couldnt make phone calls or reply to texts!!

.....looks like im gonna have to do a factory reset again

just removed go contacts and go sms as they seem a bit heavy

Rom?
Kernel?
Using setcpu?
If so, what profiles?
Any recent changes to your setup that might be related?
flashed anything recently?

yes sorry. phone is totally standard.
I'm using ADW launcher with 6 screens.
approximately 8 Widgets.

I've now removed go contacts and go sms as these
are most recent apps.
plus I've reset ADW.

I haven't run a stock Sense setup in a while so I can't even remember where you can check your running apps to see if anything in particular was overusing resources (if you even could).
Sorry, hope someone else that's more recently familiar can help.
As MandaNick, suggested, try a different launcher for a while to confirm whether ADW is the problem or not. Also, if you're using lots of widgets on those 6 screens and they're all set up to refresh regularly that may also be a problem.

^Yeah, I jumped in during the wee hours of this morning while I was having trouble sleeping. Checked back just now and felt bad to leave the guy hanging.

hi guys - no worries

ive now factory reset my phone and only installed the minimum of stuff - trying out zeam launcher again as this is very light

seems a bit silly with a top end smartphone and all ....... :/
