Phone has died :( (Resurrected!)

After having my SGS2 for around a year it has finally died. I turned it off to reboot into recovery to do a backup but once I had turned it off it would not turn back on. It wont boot at all, no recovery, no download mode nothing. Even the jig wouldn't save it. I will be going to the 3 store to send it off for repair today. I'm not even sure if its still in warranty because I got the phone last June. Also I was rooted running custom rom and kernel so will just see what happens with that. Finger crossed! I do have mobile phone insurance so if worst came to worst I could claim on that but I'll try my luck with 3 first.

I assume you tried a soft+hard reset.
Are you sure its not just your battery that has fubar'd?

It may required the use of a USB jig which you can get on Ebay for about

Borrowed a battery from a friend at work and still nothing. Yes I tired everything including USB jig.

Back to life! After leaving the battery out the rest of the day I thought I would try it just before I took it to the store, low and behold it came back on as if nothing had happened Happy days!
