Long story this one. Apologies if I use the wrong terminology but I have an iphone and this question is for my wife's HTC One S which we have been trying to fix for some time. I have seen this problem frequently discussed online but none of those fixes work. The phone has the latest updates.
Not sure how but the phone icon has gone. Though she can access the dialer in car mode but that is not ideal. Have tried all the usual places but no icon anywhere. Took the phone back to the shop. They did a factory reset and still no icon. They seemed to know what they were doing but couldn't solve the problem. I've thought of one last option before it goes back to the manufacturers. Can we download another phone dialer app? And is there one that looks and behaves pretty much like the previous one? My wife is not into technology so doesn't want loads of gadgets. I do not have the phone to hand at the moment so will need to proceed on that basis.
