Phone is crazy?

My phone was working fine all day and had a full battery life. When I came home today from being out I went to check my Facebook. But I kept getting notifications that the apps werent working and needed to be closed out. After recieving several of these messages and ending the applications to no avail I decided to try turning my phone off and then back on like I usually do. But this time when it went to turn on it began to start up then left the Virgin Mobile symbol on my screen. I waited for it to load but it never did. I've tried everything to get it to load but it won't. Even taking the battery out. Instead when I take the battery out the image still sits there for about 35 seconds before it realizes theres not battery. HELP ME!!!

Hey there and welcome to Android forums!

I'm sorry to hear about your problems, what type of device do you have and how long have you had it?

I'd opt for leaving it off overnight plugged in and seeing if it does the same in the morning.

I'm not quite sure all I know is it's a Virgin Mobile Android and that I've had it since December. It was my sister-in-laws before me though. Is it possible that my hard drive is corrupt?? I'm going to try your suggestion but I'm really worried

It's old enough that the battery could be getting tired. Your problem doesn't really sound power related however. It's more like you were out of operating space or ram. But that's strictly a guess. Give it a full charge and see if it will boot up. I understand you have removed the battery and replaced it. That's a good start at clearing an easy to fix problem. Let us know how you stand after a charge. See if you can find out what phone you actually have. You may have to perform a factory reset to bring the phone back to life. Resetting the phone from the external buttons is different for different phones.
