Help Phone lagging

Hey all, I'm a new kid in town. I've had the original Droid since launch, and it's never given me a problem until recently.

I'm using ADW as a launcher replacement. I only mention this because I can't tell if it's this or my phone itself messing up.

Whenever I'm done using an app, I'll hit the home button to get back to the main screen. It'll go back, but my screen is completely blank. After a minute or two, everything will come back up, but it lags if I try to open another app. It's getting pretty annoying.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Or how to fix it?

Wow! I have been having this problem as well. I thought i was the only one. I am rooted, running UD8 and Launcher Pro. I would love to get an answer to this as well. It is really becoming frustrating.

Same problem here...help! Waiting for the bionic but until then I'd like to solve this EXTREMELY annoying problem; there's always throwing it against a brick wall...wait no, that's not an option.

Yous all are not alone me too. As a matter of fact it just did it right before I signed on.
Now what we need is an answer.

Happening to me today now. Un-rooted, running Launcher Pro.
for the last 1 1/2 hours all apps are freezing. Tried multiple battery pulls, no change. Switched to stock launcher but no difference.

Even my music player is choppy and drops in and out.

Update: when the song switches on my poweramp app, my antivirus now flashes a clean mp3 item message in the status bar... never did that before.
