Help phone lock problem

Is there anyway to disable the i7500 phone lock as I find it quite annoying

I was wondering, with Android 2.1 (gaosp) on the Galaxy, do you still have to hold the unlock button, or is it possible to press it once and then slide the locker thing onscreen?

Because if you don't have to hold it, it's another reason for me to switch.

You can do as you described, or push endcall and then slide to unlock or press menu button.

Actually, I guess Drakaz can program it anyway you like within reason )

with 1.6 if you active the lock pattern, you will not need the unlock botton! push end call and then lock pattern!

I wish I found out about this sooner. I enabled the lock screen just for this!!

Thanks for the tip !! it saves me a lot of headache trying to unlock my phone when i'm in a hurry .....

Another option is to install the program 'myLock' from the android marketplace. After installing, a short press on either the lock button or the end call button will reliably unlock the phone. No more interminably holding down the lock button like a fool.

however, i find that its maybe better for batterylife to have to hold the button, since in the pocket the button gets pushed often by incidence and the display is activated each time and the phone wakes up from sleep.
