Phone lockdown

heres the thing, whent out tonight, and for a bit of fun, trying to show of me new phone, i put the thing were you, draw the pattern to unlock the phone anyway, i said to me m8, if you can pick the pattern that i put in, in 5 go's you can have the phone, anyways as you can figure out, after 5 attemps, i can no longer get on my phone
somebody plz tell me what i have to do, it does ask me for a user name password, but i havnt got a clue as to what its on

When it asks you for your user name ... enter your gmail account name that you originally used to activate the phone ...

For password enter your gmail account password ... this will then let you back in ....
 
The gmail login part, simply doesn't work! For me, and many others. I had to factory reset, and was a ****ing pain in the arse.
