Help phone locking up on unlock swipe

anyone else experienced this?

this happens to me at least once a day now.. I'll try to unlock my phone by swiping the unlock and the unlock bar gets frozen across the bottom of the screen and the phone goes non-responsive. I have to take the battery out and start the phone back up.

any ideas?

has to be a problem with one or more apps you downloaded, or try a different launcher

I have that problem as well, i let it close, and try again in a few seconds, and usually that works, or I slide it open and it will come "Unlocked" tho it does take a little bit. Does it on both stock launcher and go ex launcher

I actually got mine to work again finally.. I had uninstalled some app don't remember what it was and the unlock started working fine.. but then a few days later anytime someone called me my phone would freeze up on sliding to answer the phone.

I uninstalled a task killer app that I had previously used on android 2.1 with no problems at all.. and this fixed my problem.

actually as soon as I uninstalled the task killer my phone started downloading updates for like 5 different apps. lol

so instead of freeing my phone up of memory it was preventing my phone from doing ANYTHING.. except respond to texts and check my calendar.

does anyone else have a task killer to free up memory? if so what do you use?

One thing I tried, is just holding my finger on the unlock part of the screen when it locks up like that, and as the screen goes black, I will feel it give me some feedback, then I hit the "End" button again to turn the screen back on, and I have been able to unlock it right away every time. Hope that helps!
