I have a HTC Desire with Android Version 2.2 and since yesterday I started getting an issue with the phone locking and then not waking up, or the screen freezes.
The issue first started when SwiftKey froze while writing a text message and the keyboard would not minimise. I restarted the phone and that is when the locking problem occurred. Sometimes the buttons will light up, sometimes not, but when I remove my ScanDisk 8gb mcro SD card and restart the phone there are no issues. The phone locks and unlocks without any problems and there is no more freezing.
When I have the memory card in the notification area has a message pop up saying "preparing memory card" and shortly after that the freezing occurs. If I make it to Settings>SD & Phone storage before the freezing occurs the option to unmount the SD card is there, but not reformat.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I go and buy another SD card to test it?
Thank you in advance for any replies.
