phone memory and external memory

hi, how can you tell where an app is being downloaded to? is everything set to download to the sd card?
if not what is set to download to the phone memory? i'm guessing phone back ups and settings??

Yep thats right, the backups will go on the sdcard.

The apps will be stored on the phone memory for now, however in the next android update google will allow the storing of apps on the sdcard.

Google have a public issue tracker, they recently set this issue to completed and ready for release. So it is definitely coming, most likely with the next update.

If you need this feature before then, you can root your phone and install apps2sd feature.
