Phone memory

All possible apps on my HTC Desire are on the SD card with notable exceptions like Double Twist and Facebook, both about 7mbs each.

So how come my internal memory is still teetering on low space, ie around 15mb.

I deleted most of my texts and some not used much apps and got it back to 22mb left but have just downloaded Flext9, very good btw, and there is no SD card storage solution so back to 15mb left.

When it is so low the syncing stops working so anyone know why so much of my internal memory is being used up.

Cheers.

I was down to 3mb space at the weekend. I made sure I had all my important phone contacts in Google and then deleted the data from the contacts in the application settings screen. The phone then synched my contacts from Google and I now have over 60mb free.

Just trying this now but worried that clearing the data will delete the google contacts when syncing.

Ah it's finished. Contacts back but have only gone from 15 mb left to 23 mb. Still better than nothing, thanks.

If you want to improve the situation with your internal memory, you're eventually going to have to root and flash a custom ROM which supports Apps2SD+.
