My phone(LG Thrive) use to mount as Sandisk in my Linux distro now it mounts as USB0 and when I try copy files to it they are not on the device when it is dismounted. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Could be an MTP issue with your distro.

I never hook up a device with cables to my computer anymore. For a lot of the same reasons. I run OpenSUSE and MTP is still very buggy for me. So I strictly use Airdroid anymore. No MTP problems and it works great for me. I can copy files to and from any device to computer and from computer to any device. No drivers or other stuff needed. The only thing I have to do with my device and cable is adb/fastboot stuff

I just started using Airdroid as well but thought I would just try it the old way. Did notice that it started when I began to use a new repository source. Thanks.
