Help Phone not charging

Lurker
My phone doesnt charge when i connect it using a usb to the cpu. it only charges when i connect it to the wall outlet. It wasnt like this, yesterday, i set my hotspot network. and after that my phone started acting weird.

I was going to wait for a moderator to inform you not to bump threads (as I don't want to encourage bumping) but I think there's a chance you may be using the wrong USB cable.
Does the large (PC) end of the USb cable have a silver sticker on it that has 'U2' on it?

Does the small (phone) end of the USB cable have a letter 'B' under the trident mark? If so then that's the wrong cable.

my bad, didnt know "bumping" is not allowed. i didnt say which phone i had. i have samsung galaxy s2. no the usb is correct. It says its connected to the PC. and i can see the icon battery charging, but its not really charging.

Here, I just put this together to demonstrate:

If you are using the right cable, then maybe the drivers are not installed or something.

So what makes u think its not charging if it shows it is charging? Bit weird...

when its on locked screen, its says how much battery you have left. example, "5%".

and even when the phone was charging, my battery level was keep going down. and i wasnt even using my phone. from 5%, it went to 1%, then it got shut down

Well maybe you have apps running that is draining your battery while you charge. If it shows that is charging, then it is charging.
