Help Phone not going into sleep-heavy battery drain !!!

hi
few weeks back my phone battery dropped from 100% to 70% within 10mins:frown:!
no wi-fi, bluetooth, gps or any sync on.

i installed the cpu spy and found the phone wasnt going into deep sleep...
uninstalled every app i had but the battery used to die in 1hr !!!!

tried a reset to factory default and it worked for few days but has started again, now with no apps and battery went from 100% to 9% in 7hrs with NO use at all:itsme: !!! tried a new battery, got the battery connections checked.

pls help me find the solution. i guess its some kind of software bug thats keeping the phone awake.:hmmmm:

I had the same problem with crazy battery drain and phone was at 1400MHz state constantly, until I realised through Better Battery Stats that it was the mail exchange server under applications that was taking up all the processor resources.

My fix was to remove all accounts one by one and re-activate them all again.

Try this quick fix to get your phone into sleep mode.

1. With phone on set it to Flight Mode.
2. Power down phone and remove battery for around 1 minute.
3. Re-insert battery and switch on phone and wait for everything to come on.
4. De-activate flight mode.

Have a look at CPU Spy after an hour or so after leaving phone idle.

That should do the trick, but I think it's only a temp. fix. So far it's worked for me.

did a factory reset and it worked for a day or so ... have found out that whenever i download something from google play store then this battery drain starts and the battery charges just 15-16% when pluggen in for 6-7hrs ...
pls help on this... what is the matter

Have you downloaded Better Battery Stats yet? If not, I suggest you do as to see what is causing a Partial Wakelock and taking most of your phone's resources.

Once you've done that, send a screenshot.
