Phone not vibrating on text messages

Using Handcent SMS and my phone will not vibrate when it receives text messages, but does when i get a call so I know it's not my phone. I tried looking into the settings real quick but i couldn't find anything. Anyone know how to fix this?

I just read about this yesterday. I can't vouch for the success of this, but I thought it might help you out:

i had the same problem less than a week ago...i came here and was told to download an app called sound manager by daniel roozen. when you open it, if you press menu, it will bring up an option for vibrate settings...the one for notification vibration will be turned all the way off... change that setting to vibrate whenever possible. that should fix your problem

Worked for my Incredible too, thank you this was driving me nuts. Now how did it get set like that in the first place?
