Help Phone number format - customizable?

[Bearly]

Can I change this?

All my contacts show as:

xxxyyyyyyy

Where xxx is the area code.

I'd like it to show (xxx) yyy-yyyy

Is it possible to change this? I read something about changing the locale of the phone, but it was only in reference to international formatting where the "+1" is commonly used.

To add dashes (but not brackets) to phone number format : Settings > Language and keyboard > Select Language > English (United States). If you want to have NO dashes, select English (United Kingdom) or English (Philippines).
