Help phone number

My phone says it does not know its number when I look it up in the 'about phone' section of settings. The phone is unlocked but is using a T-Mobile SIM card which has been in two previous phones. It sends and receives both calls and texts so the number works. Is there a way of putting the number in so that it is shown or am I just being fussy?

You're just being fussy I'd say.

So long as you know your number, people who'd call you know your number and everything works then it's not a huge deal. Maybe it can only read the number from certain sims.

Yes, you're probably right and no doubt if ti was lock=ed in to T-Mobile it would read the number. It's just that I like things to work the way they should.
