Help phone radomly calling contacts

Ok I was using jeffit and pandora while working out and my phone started randomly doing things on its own. First it started skipping the tracks it used all my skips at one time. then it called my wife on its own. i stopped the call and a few minutes later it did it again.
I rebooted my phone and went back into the programs that I use every day together with no issues. And it started doing it again.
the thing is I don't know if its a jeffit issue or a phone...

I've had my phone behave erratically like this a couple times over the past months, and I think both were after charging with a non-OEM charger. Was re-using an old Samsung 500mA AC charger and also a car lighter->usb charger when these issues occurred. Perhaps there's something odd that happens with a low-amperage charger, but I haven't had any recurrences since I abandoned those chargers.

i am using a charger from a mytouch 4g will try swapping it and see what happens
