Im s-off, I did the 2.95 update and noticed my bootloader says "locked" again. Do i follow the same steps as i did the first time unlocking or is there another way? also, can i just do that procedure instead of the whole root thing? TIA

What bootloader on you using? If you are S-OFF you don't need an unlocked bootloader.

"That whole root thing" consists of flashing a ROM with root, or flashing a superuser zip.

I was originally 1.04 then went to 1.50 for a rom, then i flashed 1.04 again today, and now it doesnt say unlocked or locked. Its been a while since i rooted... But good.

The 1.04 Engineering hboot and the modded jbear hboots hide the locked/unlocked status, only the stock 1.57,1.58 hboots will show you the status, as was already posted, if you're s-off you don't need the bootloader to be unlocked.
