First post here, I'm normally the kind of person who just uses my phone and don't generally fiddle with it too much, but I'm having major problems at the moment.
I've got a One S (obviously!) on Orange which I've had for just over a year, running android version 4.1.1.
When I first got it the phone was super quick, tapping the shutter button in the camera app a few times gave instant photos and everything worked as expected.
Then it's started going through a cycle of slowing down, getting a software upgrade and speeding back up for a while, then slowing down again.
I noticed the RAM usage is generally hovering around 750 out of 782mb.
I recently uninstalled all apps I don't regularly use which seemed to solve the problem, and memory usage dropped to about 600 out of 782mb, but it has gradually slowed down again.
Today I was trying to use 'maps' and it was so slow I gave up. It's pretty much useless for anything other than making phone calls at the moment, and I can't even swap back to my old Desire as the SIM is a smaller size.
Any suggestions on how to improve the situation would be greatly appreciated!
