Help Phone repair precautions??

Hi all, after multiple issues with this phone I am finally sending it off for repair directly with HTC.
What precautions do I need to take before I send it?
When I get it back I want to set it up as it is now ( without the probs)

Also the phone I will be using while it is away is not a smart. All my contacts are on google not the sim, how do I transfer them to the phone or a card?

On the contact list, hit option, and there should be an import/export option. I think the best is to export to SIM if your switching phone

If your contacts are all on Google you don't have to do anything to restore them but sync your contacts when your phone comes back.

I will need them on the temporary phone tho, didnt want to put them on the sim as when it is back in the HTC I will have 2 of every contact.
