We loaded a few Apps, and as I was lookng around in the phone. it reset, turned off and then back on by itself, I said maybe I touchedsomething to reboot lol

tonight 7pm I guess I opened again a app, tehn started to play Angry Birds, and thephone did it again.

I will see what hapens tomorrow same time.

I wonder if Quicksettings has anytthing to do with this, I touched nothing just looked.

As talked to Sprint tech's

Factory reset is needed a hard one

HOME SEARCH, DOWN VOL and ON. or HOME< VOL DOWN< and ON

brings you to a green screen and top line highlighted, go down to the 3rd one by vol Down, and Menu button. The reboot reset menu button. phone reboots and refreshs corrected software

there are as well a four digit factory reset as well followed by a # .

this will be step one to clear my issue

the reboot is a glitch rushed to the market, and in order to recieve a new Phone steps are to be followed.

Normally a refreshed phone fixs the issues

I was told to visit the Corp store to be turned away. all I do is laugh at them.

not responsable for your actions be warned about tampering beyond the relm.

When I was instructed, to do this after I viewed the phone I like the older market with more screen the newer version gone Yippie , till then

It is clear a hard reset again, with orginal sd card will be observing if resets again. I am 100% sure its a bad phone.

Does anyone else have an issue with their Optimus randomly restarting itself other than myself & Roadster?

I got my phone 31 days ago, and within two days I noticed that as I left it on a desk at work, it would randomly restart itself...I would hear the "Power On" sound and watch the Sprint symbol come up, then the Android system. I had only installed a few common programs like Amazon, eBay, Barcode Reader, etc. Nothing crazy, and I never rooted my phone. After reading some other suggestions, I switched out the SD card with one I had in my Centro. Still had restart problems every day. So then I bought a new Kingston type 4 8gb SD card. Still problems.

I ended up visiting the Sprint store 3x and they never could replicate it. The only reason they replaced it 3 weeks after I got it was because I was talking on the phone and it froze up to where it wouldn't shut off ... I jumped in my car with the phone still jacked up and showed it to them. Since it was my 3rd visit, they replaced it.

So on my 2nd Optimus, same issue. And I had the same programs installed. I decided that I would just live with it, but then the phone restarted itself 4x yesterday, and once when I was in the middle of a task so it was quite bothersome. So I took the phone to Sprint & had them erase everything and reset the phone. I figured I must have downloaded a bad program. But today, the phone restarted itself again!! As a last resort, I unmounted the SD card and went cardless to see if that would help. Nope. The phone restarted 3 more times.

Today is day 31 of me getting my first optimus, so I am no longer eligible to return the phone and trade it in for something else. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Is it really possible that I got two bad phones in a row??

That is why I do not want to be stuck, by trying to fix a common lost software glitch.

Did you take note if you got thesame phone back the serial should have been recorded, or a inside mark.

I even had mine powered on to the Pc and it did it. I called up, demanded without a blink a return pkg. and living with my Old MOMENT.

till the Droid system is fixed, then I will get a new phone, that's never LMAO!

It was definitely a new phone. I watched them take it out of the box and set it up. The only good thing that came out of it is that they let me keep my original charger and gave me the box with another charger when they replaced it. It's nice to have two chargers since sometimes the battery drains too quickly.

After calling Sprint to complain about how I was over by just *1* day, they refused to let me return the phone for a different type/model. However, when I told the 3rd customer service rep that I would not say they resolved my problem satisfactorily, he did offer to send me another Optimus. I only hope that the 3rd one is a charm. I won't be installing any 3rd party programs on it for a week, and I won't be putting any sort of case on it... Seems like I've lost two screen protectors on the other defective phones...

Never give up, and you do not like the voice on end. sometimes we get up on the wrong side of the bed.........

We have no problem but one with the otherOp-S wired Headset. must pull out to stop a echo, when reset it is fixed. so there are kinks no matter who owns a OP-S

I do nor believe Droid is perfect
