Lurker
I have looked at all the threads for this and still can't find an answer, we don't have the option to change the time before it goes to voicemail on the Droid Eris, anyone have any ides?

Slot cycle. I think. And you used to be able to call Verizon and ask them to increase the time from 30 to 40 seconds. The custom ROMs have this change.

Dial ##778 then press CALL

Choose Edit mode

Type in password 000000 press OK

Go down to Modem Settings, select it.

Slot Cycle is at the top. Go into it and set to desired number.

When done, press MENU and pressCommit Modifications.

Phone will reboot after 10 seconds.

Good to go.

Try changing the slot cycle to 1 to see if that helps, and 0 if you still need more time. The default is 2. The slot cycle tells the radio how often to check for new calls and texts, etc. A slot is 1.28 seconds, so each slot adds 1.28 seconds to the polling. The downside is a shorter slot cycle means more battery use, so I'd try 1 before 0.
