Help Phone screen turns on and off???

My girls phone turns on and off with out anyone touching it. It will be sitting on the night stand and randomly will turn on the go off. It will happen about 5 times and then stop. No notification no nothing. It happens on and off the charger... Very strange. Should i just take it back? Made a video but don't know how to upload it.
 
Have you rebooted the phone? Usually fixes allot of small problems. Does the phone lose network and find it a lot not sure if that can cause it.

Yea many times i think its a hw issue and needs to be returned its done it for about a month now. It always wakes me up in the middle of the night, it lights up and at first i thought she was cheating on me getting texts in the middle of the night. But it just lights up no notification for anything. Hella buggy lol.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.

Did you try a factory reset? Or maybe you can start deleting apps from the phone (The latest ones you downloaded when this started happening) one by one.

If all else fails, try a factory reset and go a day or two without adding extra apps and see what happens.

On a side note, my droid x I used to have would creepy things! lol I normally shut my phone down for the night, when I got up in the morning, it was on! lol

I have seen it do it a few times. I would power the phone down, and a few minutes later it would power itself back up. I think it is a conspiracy .... :D

Lol factory reset on my girls phone... Since we have no cwm i well get in some serious trouble, that's a last resort. But if that's the only way then that's the only way. I just thought someone else might have the same problem.

Someone elese just posted about this same issue here. I agree, a factory reset is last resort.

Mayne you could just start deleting downloaded apps and see if that helps, just back them up first :)

Check Development options, there is an option stay awake. Also check if you have screen time out set to something. Maybe you get some notification during the night and screen just stay on after that.

No worries about resurrecting an old thread.
It can be easily closed and readdressed in a new thread if a similar issue comes up.
No need to argue about it.
