Hey,
So I started having an issue with my Galaxy s2 today.
The phone was working fine while plugged in, and had a near fully charged battery, but when I unplugged it, it shut off after a few minutes.
I tried turning it on several times (while unplugged), and it gets to the initial loading screen, but then shuts off before ever actually getting to the main phone screen.
If I try turning it on while plugged in, I can usually get to the main phone screen (but not always), but it still shuts off after about 5-20 seconds (even while plugged in). It shows the battery as nearly full still.
I have tried removing the battery, I have tried resetting the cache, I have even done a factory reset, but nothing seems to work. I was thinking it was the battery, and am willing to buy a new one but I just wanted to make sure that that would even fix it.
The reason I am second guessing whether it is the battery or not, is because even while unplugged, if I can reach the recovery mode screen (some times it shuts off before I can even get there), the phone seems to be able to stay on indefinitely. I have currently left it at the recovery mode screen to try and drain the battery completely to see if maybe I can reset the battery that way (if that's the issue at all).
Has anyone had a similar experience and was able to fix it? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
