Phone sometimes takes pictures by itself

I have a Sprint LG G3, sometimes I have my phone in my purse & I hear the shutter click, even though the phone screen was locked & it shouldn't be possible for it to have gotten bumped. Has anyone else had this happen? It's not happening a lot, just once in a while. If it continues happening I'll do a hard reset & see if that fixes it, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Oh that's weird indeed
I have the Verizon variant, and have not had that.
I don't suppose you have an app installed with permissions to take photos do ya? ---just a thought.
Unless there is a setting you have for the volume up, or volume down, or power button, when long pressed, takes a pic?

Ohhh... you might be on to something. The volume up/down buttons do default to something to do with picture taking, I just never use them. I'll see about turning those off, & then I bet it'll stop happening!

Power button+vol down does a screen shot but if you're screen is locked, I believe it actually brings up the camera app from a locked screen. That could be what is happening.

Right. Like I mentioned earlier, I never use those options, so I completely forgot about them. I've turned them off now.
