Help Phone stops responding to everything unless restarted

Does anyone else get this? Screen is completely black as if its locked but when clicking home button or even power button absolutely nothing happens! I have to hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds for it to reboot and only then am I able to continue using the phone.

It doesnt happen much (only twice since ICS was released on unbranded CPW phones) I vaguely recall switching on wifi and locked my screen before it successfully connected then realized after eating dinner it was black and suffered the above behavior.

The first time I would have just locked the screen and to kill some time waiting for a supermarket to open I went to play a game to find it had done this.

Would love it if someone could shed some light on this.

I get that quite a lot, especially when I mess around with processor governors, undervoltage and other stuff similar to that.

It could be a rogue setting or app that is sporadically causing the freeze.

This may be completely unrelated but i removed both 3g watchdog and watchdog app manager and since then its been ok and also wifi connects really fast!
