Help Phone Storage is getting low...

Even after the Froyo update and moving all the apps that I could to my SD Card, deleting my call history, deleting text messages, uninstalling apps not used, I am still getting this message. I even went as far as emptying my SD Card on to my laptop.

Is there anyone that can give me some pointers for this?

This is the HTC desire forum. There are many threads on this already here. Your device is Samsung Acclaim though? Have you asked there?

According to his sig, he also has the HTC Desire!?!?!

To be honest, I'm in the same boat and finding my phone storage very restrictive!

Where are the texts etc stored? I've been happily leaving endless texts just sat there not realising that it will have an impact on my spare space!!

have you tried clearing caches using a cache clearing app?? I reccommend Cache Cleaner NG from the market for free.

This may free up some internal storage.

No.problem.

Lots of reading. Unfortunately desire does suffer from small memory.

Many root to avoid but depends how complex a solution you want

I LOVE MY ANDROID PHONE! But what's with this small memory, and what's the point of moving apps to the SD Card if that doesn't even help with the internal storage? I even bought the biggest SD card I could find at the store. I'm scared to Root, as I'm a beginner. And what does rooting do to your warranty with the cell company? I want more space, I want to delete alot of things that I can't, and I want to be able to customize my phone how I want it. But I can't without Rooting?

It will definitely affect your warranty.

Have a look in the tips and tricks sub forum at the top of this page.

There's a method to force all apps to sd without root. It's one of the top threads (latest posts)

Read it all though. The first post makes it sound more complicated than it is.

On the last or penultimate page, I have simplified it
