Help Phone Storage/SD Card

Well-Known Member
I have Astro File Manager and I would like to transfer the pictures that are stored in the phone to the sd card, how ever I cannot tell where the phone storage is.

It looks like both are called "sd card". So is /mnt/sdcard the external sd card and /sdcard is the phone storage or vice versa?

Is there an easier way to do this?

The default path of the external storage card is /mnt/sdcard/external_sd

If you want to move system stuff around you will need root and mount system as writable (but that is extra info) you do not need this to move pictures!!!

The easiest way to do it is to plug your phone into your computer - mount it as usb storage and just go ahead and copy all of the pictures to your storage card at once - I am not sure if you can multiple file transfer with astro but I know it is possible with ES file explorer. I still do not want to be going and clicking every single file in the DCM folder because it will take a rather long time.
