Root Phone stuck in a bootloop! Please help!

I decided to do a factory reset via the settings application on the phone but after doing so, my phone got stuck in a bootloop. The LG symbol comes up but then it goes to CWM recovery, where it just loads for about 3 seconds and then tries rebooting again. My Elite was rooted and it had CWM on it. I tried following the unbricking guide but it is not working. Whenever I plug my phone into the USb during download mode, LGFlashtool does not do anything and wont flash. Is there something I did wrong with either the factory reset or LGFlashtool? I really need help. Any suggestions?

You're not supposed to factory reset with a custom recovery installed or this will happen. If you want to reset it you'll need to do it from the recovery. Your problem with the flash tool not (if you followed it correctly) working seems to be because of missing drivers. Did you install them?

If you had the clockwork mod on the device all you needed to do was reflash the custom ROM . .now if you in a loop just pull the battery and do the button combo to get into the recovery and reflash the rom. The device will not do nothing now cause yes the drivers but if u can get clockwork mod up try to select the setting you need before it boot again . if it don't work u need the download mode button combo and your USB close to u hold the button combo and slide battery in and phone will be seen on your PC or laptop to start the unbrick

Sorry about that but which carrier cause one of them you can get the phone back in working order with just a lg update
This would be from the lg update tool from lg electronic themselves

I'm on Virgin Mobile and yes, I did download all of the LG drivers for the phone. I'll try reflashing tomorrow. Also, I am unable to go back to CWM recovery in order to reset the phone properly. It keeps going into a boot loop. I'll post back if I need more assistance or if I solve the problem. Thanks for the help so far guys!

No. Look in the stickies for the unbrick method for the Optimus Elite and only follow that thread. The trick is once you have your phone in download mode, plugged in, and then you hit the start button, it will prepare it and say ready! But then just do nothing. You then have to unplug the USB from your phone, and then plug it back in a second or two later and it will begin flashing.

Ok. I'll try it. But how long does it take for the phone to say ready? My phone continues to do nothing for a long time.

Yep. Now when I use the flash tool, under port 1 it says ready. Is there anything that should occur afterwards? My device is plugged in as we speak

Make sure your phone is in download mode. Click start and If it doesn't start flashing within a couple of seconds then unplug the phone and plug it back in and then it should start. This is all assuming you did everything correctly.

Thank you guys so much!!! I was getting very frustrated with this thing and was worried that it would die out during a time of need!! Thanks phenomx4 and everyone else that helped!!
