Root phone stuck in boot animation after changing splash screen

so i changed my splash screen today using the PG86IMG.zip way and it worked i have a diffrent splash screen but now i just get stuck in the boot animation and when i try to go into recovery via bootloader it just picks up the PG86IMG zip and wont let me get to recovery, any help would be much appreciated

To get back into recovery using bootloader, you need to delete the PG86IMG zip from your SD card first, otherwise bootloader will keep detecting the PG86IMG zip.

You're going to have to pull your sd card and delete or rename the file from a pc. Unfortunately that is the hassle that can come from PG86IMG files. They will prevent you from getting into recovery in emergency situations if you get stuck!

ok i deleted the file good thin i had a sd card adapter at hand, so i was wondering dose this mean i cant change the splash screen, and should i just clear the cashe and dalvik, or should i just get one of my backups?
 
ok so just a update i fixed it, i got into recovery and just wiped the cashe and dalvik and everything is fine now and i changed my splash screen! thanks for helping guys

Awesome! Glad you're up and running again. I usually try to warn people that if they are using a PG86IMG file to hold off until they have a backup option to access the sd card. Whether it be a computer or a spare phone. Otherwise you might be stuck without a phone until you can get rid of that file!

yea i didnt realize i was going to run into any trouble but lucky all ended well i didnt even have to use the backup so im happy thanks again :D
