Phone stuck in boot loop

 I went to change my phone from the ICS theme to bluemonkey and upon restarting it showed the ICS boot animation which won't come off. :( It's running Siyah 2.4.2 and Checkrom Revo4

Phew!! I did a backup in CWM a couple of days ago so was able to use that. It's back on now.

So to clarify, do you back up in CWM every time you change, say, a theme? ICS theme seems to cause me no end of trouble. Maybe I'm not doing it right when I switch.

Every time I flash anything in clockwork, I make a backup. Then, if it boots and is fine after a day or so, I'll delete the backup.

Where are you getting the themes from? Are they UOT Kitchen themes? Do you wipe the caches before hand?

UOT?? Sorry, I'm quite new to all of this. I assumed kitchen pro and cwm took care of all that?
Do I still need titanium back up then if I have cwm? And is it worth always keeping at least one back up in cwm in case anything goes wrong?

UOT kitchen is an online Kitchen with many tweeks. Kitchen PRO via the checkrom ROM is a built in lightweight version that works directly on the phone.

Im gonna assume the latter is what you used. I had similar problems with themes and only since using Vertamus's ICS themes. Which initially worked great but dont think you can flash another theme directly over the top. It wont work. Confirmed via Vertamus' thread on XDA. Do a back up before any flashing , it will save tears trust me I KNOW. :(

CWM recovery backs up System files and everything in the exact state you currently are using. this is known as a Nandroid backup.

titanium is unique in that it backs up single apps for example but wont touch all the system stuff. You can freeze apps via Titanium also.

^^Pretty much all of that. Here's a link for the kitchen if you want to take a peek: UOT Kitchen

If your ROM isn't listed, you'll need to upload certain files etc, but it's relatively straight forward.

Also, yeah, it's worth having a backup or two on the SD Card. I've a couple (each of different ROMs) just incase anything messes up/or I fancy a change.

I made a noob mistake and didn't back uyp before installing the new rom. Now when ever my phone tries to load ice cream sandwich it gets stuck in that dreadful bootloop. I want to be as carefull as possibly because I bricked my phone previously. Does anyone know how to help me with my problem?
