Help Phone stuck on Galaxy S screen after trying to undo One Click Lag Fix...

Was about to flash cognition 2.2 but I wanted to Undo my one click lag fix first.

Now I'm stuck on the Galaxy S black screen. No idea what to do, I can't use odin cuz im on a Mac =/

IM SO SCARED

it wasn't voodoo. It was just the other one, think it was called One Click Lag Fix. It was done from an update.zip

I did a clockwork recovery mod aout 15 minutes before this happened. How can I use that to help me? It was the first time i ever did it

Give it a little bit of time. When the phone goes to the black screen, set it down and let it sit for awhile. Maybe even up to about 10 minutes. This is a pretty common issue when dealing with the lag fix since the phone has to sort of rebuild its file system.

Try being patient, let it sit for awhile and see what happens. The black screen thing happens to me every single time I deal with the lag fix, but it goes back to normal eventually.

If you have given it more than 10 minutes to fix itself up and you are still stuck on the black screen, let us know.

I am having the same problems
Samsung Captivate 2.1
z4root
one click lag fix 2.2

boots to galaxy s screen for a bit and then goes to black screen and does nothing..... any ideas?

I actually tried this as a last resort before I read this reply. that being said, thanks because it did work.:D i restored and then installed the oclf v1+ and have been running flawlessly since.

benchmark socre after oclf v1+ ~2200

i did the oneclicklagfix 2.2+ on my 2.2.1 Darky's 9.5 SGS international edition.

Got stuck on te boot screen. scared me half to death.
pulled the battery, booted recovery and restored my latest nandroid.

THANK THE LORD FOR NANDROID! Pity i lost some of my progress on angry birds! ;)

QUESTION:

Is it a bad idea to do the other fixes in the oneclicklagfix app? Do those give similar problems or are they not messing as much with the phone?

There's no need to be using OCLF on a custom hacked ROM like that. They already have better, safer lagfixes built-in and come pre-rooted. Besides, OCLF is old and the methods used it in outdated and rather unsafe. It's no surprise you had issues.

It's important to read before doing anything. Just because it's been posted on the internet doesn't mean it's safe, recommended, or current information.
