Help Phone Switch Off Then Battery Drain

i was just on my phone sending a message then my phone just shutdown with 44% battery left. then i took out the battery and put it back in then switched off the phone, my battery was then on 22%

just wanted to know if this has happened to others, and if not how can i fix it

This happens all the time. Particularly, but not exclusively, if you have flashed a new ROM.

The SGSII's battery fuel gauge is designed to re-calibrate itself automatically.

That is why Battery Calibration app's are a waste of time for the SGSII... they don't work. Simple as that!

You should see the battery gauge moving up instead of down for a little while. Its trying to get its bearings
