Help Phone touch screen spazzing.

My screen constantly doesn't work and also spazz's out when it does work. It works on its own the home button goes in use when i don't click it its a disaster any help?

Was your phone plugged in when this happened?

If not:

Has your battery come in contact with any water or experienced any blunt trauma?

Are you sure you are not touching the screen anywhere else? The screen is really sensitive including the buttons along the bottom. Make sure you are not even slightly touching the screen anywhere else. I know this frustration first hand. In the mornings when I roll over in bed and grab my droid while it is still plugged in, If I try to enter my password lock it will at times touch other dots. I have found that this happens because in that position I sometimes, ever so slightly, rest my palm on the edge of the screen and that it was throws off the screen. Other that that, I don't have any other explanation. Good Luck!!!
