i have had my htc for a few months now, and noticed in the last month or so it turns itself on and off? why would this be? its rather frustrating and i dont like it...

Have you installed any apps recently which might not be playing nicely?
It could be down to overheating, is it hot at all? I've also seen other HTC Handsets reboot randomly because the SIM is loose. Is yours inserted correctly?

im a droid newb... so no i have not got many apps on my phone... ive only got the standard ones that came with the phone and another i got not long after...
when i have been on the net for a bit it does get a little hot... i also have one of them jelly case's on it? now that i think its been turning on and off since ive had the case on...
and i think my sim is inserted properly, i shall check...

Don't worry about it, that's what I'm here for. 
Take the case off for a bit, see if that makes a difference.
