Help phone turns on but lcd doesn't work

hi im new just bought a htc desire z from craigstlist for $20 and the phone works, turns on, vol and touchscreen works, but the lcd is not working and i was wondering if i just need a lcd replacement. also nothing is cracked or broken

It's near impossible to tell without a physical examination. If you have a local repair shop of good reputation, I'd suggest an estimate from them for repairs. Congrats on the new phone and I hope you can restore it to 100% without a heavy investment. Welcome to AF. I hope you find these forums useful.
